A bit disappointed with the new restaurant in our hometown. The atmosphere is inviting and hostesses friendly. A few things they need to fix immediately to be sustainable in this family oriented town. 1. Install blinds on the top of the west windows. (We were blinded by the evening sunlight while trying to eat.) 2. Install a baby changing table in both restrooms. 3. Add garlic salt and/or other seasonings to your Napoleon bread-appetizer. (very bland) 4. Change pay system- (Having the waitress stand there and instruct us to tap on the iPad which level of tip to pay is quite awkward.) 5. Don't run out of milk and apple juice-kid staples. (offering us juice options from the bar i.e. cranberry juice isn't desirable for kids.) Recommendations- add ceiling fans- very hot with sun pounding in and hot wood ovens. Change kids coloring menu. Olives on the side came with pits.

The happy hour is decent and the cristillo nachos are yummy! The service is pretty bad though. Every time we've gone they've taken forever to seat us even though there were a ton of empty tables. I've worked at restaurants before so I get it, but wouldn't expect it to be so consistent. The pizza is alright. It's on par with the pizza at new seasons next door which is way cheaper.

It was our first time eating here since it opened and we were excited to have a local pizza place open so close to where we lived. When we looked at the menu we were disappointed to learn that they only had one size of pizza, one kind of crust (thin) and that you couldn't split the toppings. Therefore, you would have to order multiple pizzas if people in your group didn't care for the same toppings. Very off putting from the beginning. The menu was also limited. The pizza we ordered was soggy and tasted average at best. The toppings were low quality, akin to frozen pizzas you get at the grocery store. On checkout I liked how you could swipe your card at the table on the server's tablet but it's kind of awkward to have to decide what kind of tip to leave when they are staring at you. The restaurant was also very noisy. The service was friendly but unfortunately I don't foresee us coming back. I also don't foresee this place being open more than a year.

Much better then the first time. Been back twice and both times it was really good. Congrats on pulling it together

Came on a Friday evening, so expected it to be busy. But I was really surprised that it was a 40 minute wait. Especially when there were open tables. We had an infant but they didn't have enough high chairs. They told us they would be getting more. The payment system was very weird. I love apps like square. But this was no square app they were using. I should be able to specify the amount tip. Overall the food was good but not amazing and certainly not worth the price. Their special "nachos" should not be a $14 appetizer. And a $20 13" pizza should wow me. Granted the quality if meat was good, but again not justifiable for the price.

I'm pleased to say that the server was pleasant and attentive. Making sure that we were taking care of. The soup we ordered had great texture, good seasoning and was the highlight of the meal. Pretty much everything else was below average and not what we were expecting. My gin and tonic was mainly ice followed by tonic and maybe but only maybe some gin. The panini became so waterlogged it simply fell apart and was flavorless. The toasted ravioli tasted fried and bland which was not helped by a fresh marinara that was also low on flavor. My wife's wineglass had the automated dishwasher splash marks all over it which was just a bit off-putting. Background noise being electronically injected into the room to try and create atmosphere didn't work. So would we try again? Probably but it would need to be quite a bit better in order for us to recommend it to a friend.

I really wanted to have a nice place to eat in Happy Valley, just not that good. Expensive, flavorless. My order was delivered in 2 parts, both parts going to the table next to me. Kept having to say "hey, that's mine" Too bad. Hope they get it together, I'd love to go back.

We were very excited to see a non chain eatery, of ANY kind, opening in Happy Valley....a fast food and chain, garbage, waste land of restaurants. But EEK., what an awful beginning. The crust was soggy and I can't imagine how that could happen with a pizza baked in a hot wood fired oven. The sauce was tasteless and I am sure was just tomato sauce straight out of a tomato sauce can. We ordered a Margauite and even the cheese and basil was tasteless...just weird. The service kids didn't have a clue and acted like deer caught in headlights. Skip it, drive a little and get out of HV for decent food. Nice place to live, but not to go out and eat.

Would absolutely go here again. Great food, great atmosphere, good wine. Nice to have a place like this in Happy Valley

I love the atmosphere! Everything we ordered was so yummy and unique. It was nice to have a place to try new things and have a twist on our favorites! I can't wait to get back!

Was so excited that a new pizza place opened....went in to try it and were disappointed. Service was great, but food was not and very expensive. My family tried the pizza and were not overly impressed. I had the Greek salad and felt they used the processed meat and salad was not worth $10. Four of us ate there and it was over $60 with only 2 sodas and water. TV's were so loud, we could not even have a conversation. Have gone back just to order a pizza to go. Went Friday night and was told they can't do to go orders after 5 p.m. on the weekends. Couldn't believe it, but decided to come back next morning and try a to go order for an early lunch. I was then told they can't do any to go orders at all. There was no one in restaurant so I asked why. They told me they are still trying to figure out everything and they were sorry. We won't be back. Too bad, businesses in the area get a lot of business from word of mouth.....

I think the location is great the interior was cool but the staff is under trained and whoever purchased the pizza oven needed to hire someone who could run it. The servers although are nice they are overwhelmed. It's unfortunate that they have low standards for food. The frozen then fried "toasted ravioli" not so much. We sent that back and got our pizza. Mine was burnt and my wife's was edible . We sent mine back and got a raw one in exchange. Not a good look! YOUR COOKING PIZZA. this is not rocket science.

Cute spot. I loved that they have a make your own pizza for the kids. So they bring the dough to the table with the sauce on it already and the kids can add their own toppings and then they cook it for you. Super cute ispdea and th skids love to be involved! Nice salads too. And don't miss their desserts. I can't remember what it was called but basically it was a HUGE chocolate chip cookie not totally cooked so almost like a lava cake inside with fresh vanilla ice cream on top. It tKes time to cook so plan ahead but wow!! Worth the wait!!!

I used to go to Applebee's for Brandon the bartender but found out he quit and started working at happy hollow! I figured I give this place a shot with my friends last night for happy hour. The place decor was modern and so inviting! Me and my friends sat at the bar, but our night wouldn't been complete without Brandon he made us laughed so hard that one of my friend had pumpkin beer coming out of his nose!! seriously one of the best bar experiences I had in a LONG time! Brandon made some great drink recommendations, if your a cider fan I highly recommend the happy hallow cider!! Amazinggg!!! If your sick the hot toddy really good too :)!

We had been waiting almost an hour after ordering for food when a friend finally asked the waitress "how much longer might it be?" The waitress rudely said "We are busy, I guess I will check again" after waiting about twenty more minutes the waitress came to table saying that the ticket never went through to kitchen and asked if would we like a salad while we wait longer for the order. While the salad was nice gesture, I felt the rude manner in which she responded to friends question about wait time after we had been waiting for an hour was not necessary and dishonest about why it had been a long wait time . Also the food was not great and I would not recommend the food or the service.

Gluten free alert!! Easily the best gluten free pizza I've ever had....and that's two years of trying to find something half way decent. Really GREAT stuff!! We've been eating there pretty regularly, and the service has been really spot on. Their mini pizza sizes are really awesome...beer is great, and I'm happy they are in town!! Besides...you gotta love a place that specializes in Moscow Mules ;)

Like many of the reviewers, I want to like this place. Restaurants other than chains are sorely lacking in Happy Valley. And a nice wood-fired pizzeria should be a welcome addition. I've been here twice. Same experience both times... Service so-so. Not busy but not attentive wait staff. Food - mediocre bordering on awful. Have ordered house and caesar salads that are nothing special - not a great presentation, not a great salad. Presentation here is an issue. Even a so-so meal can taste better if it's presented with a bit of panache - maybe add toasted bread on the side, or some olives on the house salad. make it look a little special somehow. Slider burgers, very so-so. Burger way smaller than the bun, no lettuce or tomato (even a cherry tomato sliced in half would help), no garnish to help the plate look fuller or nicer. Pizza - we've had two pizzas and I'm super surprised to hear several people say their pizzas were burnt. Both of ours were half done. With a thin crust, you want a crispy pizza crust. Not so here - soggy, a bit doughy. Both times we've taken our leftovers home only to throw them away because we decided they're really not worth eating. Lots of interesting combinations but they need to figure out how to cook the pizza, keep the oven temperature consistent or both. Disappointing since this is a locally owned business. I hope they get it right.

Newer business in Happy Valley, but we like it. I think they're still trying to hit their stride but you'd be hard-pressed to find a better slice of pie in Happy Valley. The atmosphere is pretty cool and their staff are friendly and helpful.

BAD business plan! Unable to effectively manage ticket times... Instead of focusing on correcting misses leading to very long ticket times (not enough ovens?!), a rule was instilled that takeout is not allowed after 5:00pm; talk about asinine! Low quality cheese used for pizza! Crazy small and lackluster pizza for 20 bucks! All around FAIL! Very sad because I had high hopes for this one.

Overall the atmosphere was good, and the service was OK, but the pizza was terrible. The problem was the dough, it was soft, spongy and had none of the chew I expected. If you've ever wondered what a frozen pizza would taste like when cooked in a wood fired oven, here's your chance to find out.

This is a super cute place. Decor is awesome! The menu is great.. The biggest problem is that when you go to order a beer they are out of it! A Moscow mule.. Sorry out of ginger beer! The sad part is we have brought 3 out of town guests here and as the coolest place in Happy Valley it's embarrassing when they are continuously out of what's on the drink menu!! The pizza is really good unless it gets a little over baked. A few complaints it tasted burnt. I personally loved the pizza. Especially their specialty recipes. When they were out of everything we wanted to drink they took my suggestion to go next door to New seasons and pick up some Ginger beer. Good customer service would have been a complementary drink, instead just told us they had it! I mean if you were going to go get it tell me and I would of waited and not ordered my 4th choice of drink. I want this place to be as great as it has the potential to be. Up your customer service and make sure you have everything on your menu. When you run out of your seasonal beer either get a new Keg or remove it from your beer menu. You can be great... So be great! I don't think at this point I can convince my husband to come back!

Food is good, but definitely overpriced. They have a horrible service policy that they do not allow to-go orders over the phone past 5 pm. You can however, come in and order a pizza to-go and then sit there for 20 minutes while they cook it. I asked why and was told because it backs up the kitchen!? Are they here to sell food or not?
